Overview:
As digital technology becomes increasingly more accessible, many people are ditching their wallets in favor of their phones. With some states and countries beginning to pilot digital driver's licenses for citizens, I wanted to imagine what a digital driver's license for Colorado might look like.
Filling out a DMV form is no ones favorite thing to do. This project was to streamline the New York State MV-83 form process and to take a deeper look into the vehicle registration paperwork process.

My Roles:
UX/UI design, Concept, User research

Final prototype of digital license for Colorado

The Problem with current MV-83 Form

• The DMV MV-83 form has a lot of redundancy.

• The flow of the form is confusing the the user

• The form is cluttered which makes filling it out a very daunting task.

• The DMV needs a design system that engages the user more and makes them feel less stressed out.

My goals were to separate content into various sections. Once you were finished with one section, the app would prompt you to the next step.

Breaking up the information into these smaller steps will make the user feel less overwhelmed.

When making the low-fi wireframes, I wanted the keep simple colors that aligned with their current branding.

The design is less cluttered, and broken down into simple steps. By breaking the form down into steps, this makes the user feel less stressed out.
